School Club

The first sustainable transport school club was started in the evangelical school in lwayzee. The first activity of this club was a bike tour from Byblos to Batroun.

The awareness lectures given to schools
and universities opened the door for further collaboration between the campaign and the target audience. Representatives from the schools follow up with the Green Line Sustainable Transport Committee on the on going events of the campaign. Some of these schools, universities and other institutions are:

Universities

American University of Beirut
Attendance: ~ 100 people – mostly AUB students and alumni from different fields. Age group: 22 - 35 
Lebanese American University: (4 lectures)
Attendance: ~ 30 per lecture, from course “Man and his Environment”. Since the course is an elective, students attending the lecture were from diverse backgrounds.Age group: 19 – 22 
 

 

Lebanese University:
This lecture was given during an environmental day at the Media and Publicity branch of the Lebanese university. 
Attendance: ~ 50 people.Age group: 21 – 27

Al Ahlieh School
Attendance: ~120 students.
Age group: 14-17
 

 

Evangelical School
Attendance: ~80 students.
Age group: 12-16

 

Scouts
Two lectures were given to the “Scouts du Liban” – “Groupe des Apotres” – Jounieh. Attendance: ~ 50 per lecture.Age group: 13-17

 

Private institutions
Makhzoumi Foundation
Language and Computer center. Attendance: ~60 people .
Age group: 25 – 40
