Marine Turtles Conservation

Project funded by Novib

HISTORY:

Green Line proposed in 2003 to support and potentially replicate on-going activities in South Lebanon for conserving the marine turtles. After few meetings, the team decided to focus on two fundamental activities namely the production and dissemination of a Turtle documentary and awareness kit.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

The aim of this project is to disseminate information on marine turtles and endangered habitats to schools and associations

CURRENT STATUS:

Photo/video documentation
Green Line believes that no conservation program can achieve tangible goals without proper documentation. A 10-minute documentary on the marine turtle (e.g., from egg laying to hatching, habitat, conservation needs, civic responsibilities) in addition to a slide kit is being developed.
