Environmental NGOs stop illegal sand extraction in Jiyyeh and Nahr El Kalb. The “Central Inspection” issued two decisions (Decision number 472/2005 and Decision number 353/2005) showing that illegal sand extraction activities were undergone in both Jiyyeh and Nahr El Kalb and transferred this file to the State Attorney.
Awareness material (leaflet and fact sheets) and 5 seminars on the impacts of free trade agreements and GMOs on agriculture and food sovereignty were produced and organized targeting mainly farmers, NGOs and students.
Educational material (Agenda and interactive CD) in addition to a 3-day “Nutritional Awareness for Youth” workshop targeting students from public schools were organized by the Circle of Health committee.
In collaboration with YASA, a press conference on the problems encountered by the land transport sector and possible solutions was held on 21 September 2005 at the Journalists Syndicate.
A 15-minute documentary “Nature in a Trip” tackling the status of eco-tourism in Lebanon and the problems that intersects it was produced and launched in February 2005.
Finalization in April 2005 of the Towards a Sustainable Mechanism for Forest Fires Fighting in Lebanon project.
Finalization in February 2005 of the Promotion of Organic Farming in Lebanon project.

The “ Sea Turtles, Last Call ” documentary produced by Green Line in 2004 won the First Prize in the Fourth International Festival for Environmental Documentaries that was held the 14th of February 2005 in Tunis.
